Mr. Sunil Basakhetre, Managing Director – Classic Labour, is an alumni from Mumbai University with a Masters of Labour Studies (MLS) from the ’82 batch. He comes with ample experience from different industry verticals that give him a fresh perspective in labour law intricacies. He started his career as an HR manager with the hospitality industry, which exposed him to various nuances of payroll and employee management. |

Even though his career was extremely lucrative with opportunities pouring in from various quarters, Sunil was drawn towards being an entrepreneur and starting something on his own. This drive and passion led to the birth of his dream venture – Classic Labour in the year 1988.
As an entrepreneur, Sunil commenced his journey as a consultant adviser for the entire gamut of labour laws for a corporate including personnel management, industrial relations, union negotiations and the varied human resource functions. Since then the company has only grown in volume and stature. Today, Classic Labour has completed over 25 years of labour law compliance practice. With a Pan-India clientele, we’ve successfully conducted labour law due-diligence audit in several organizations to ensure profitable and hassle-free takeovers. Moreover, we’re proud of the fact that our clients keep coming back to us for all their legal requirements. Mr. Sunil Basakhetre has always led from the front and ensured that service quality and work ethics are never compromised despite experiencing exponential growth. |

Mr. B D Birajdar is an alumnus from Mumbai University with specialization in Commercial Law, which he cleared with distinction. He started his career as a faculty member with BES College of Commerce & Science, after which he started practicing at the Mumbai High court. During his 25 long and successful years at the high court, he had the opportunity of representing various organizations from different industry verticals from both the public and the private sector.
Advocate Birajdar has been appointed as the Sr. Counsel by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, and has represented Air India/ Indian Airlines before the Central Govt. Industrial Tribunal. He has been instrumental in the just and favorable verdict of several high profile cases. Advocate Birajdar has been associated with Classic Labour since past 25 years, and is a key member of our core team. His in-depth knowledge and vast experience are pivotal to our success and growth. |
